The brief
S:Electrical is an established North East electrical contractor covering domestic and commercial work across Newcastle, Gateshead and the wider region. They came to us with a loyal customer base and a genuinely strong reputation — but a website that was doing none of the heavy lifting.
The brief was simple to say and harder to deliver: a site that matched the quality of the work, and one that actually brought in enquiries rather than sitting there as a digital business card.
The challenge
The old site had been built years earlier, and it showed. On a phone — where the overwhelming majority of “electrician near me” searches happen — it was slow to load and awkward to use, and Google had little reason to rank it.
The bigger problem was structure. The site treated every service the same, so someone searching “consumer unit replacement Newcastle” or “commercial electrician Gateshead” landed on a generic homepage that never named the thing they were looking for. There were no dedicated pages for the individual services S:Electrical is known for, no clear local signals, and the Google Business Profile wasn’t properly connected to the site. The result was a capable business punching well below its weight online.
What we built
We rebuilt S:Electrical from the ground up on our publishing engine — fast, mobile-first, and fully managed from the CRM so the team can update it themselves without a developer.
The core of the work was structure. We built five dedicated SEO landing pages — one each for domestic, kitchen, bathroom, commercial and fuse-board work — so that whatever a customer searches for, they land on a page that speaks directly to it. Each page carries its own copy, local targeting and schema markup, and click-to-call is within reach on every screen.
We connected the Google Business Profile properly so the reviews and map listing pull their weight, added conversion tracking so enquiries can actually be measured, and made sure the whole thing loads quickly and reads cleanly on any device. Because it runs on our engine, adding a new service or covering a new town later is a few minutes of work, not a rebuild.
The results
S:Electrical now has a credible, fast website with five SEO landing pages feeding local search — each one a real front door for a different type of job, instead of a single homepage doing all the work.
Click-to-call is everywhere, and the ★4.9 Google rating from 36 reviews sits front and centre, building trust before a customer even picks up the phone. Best of all, the site is built to keep compounding: as more service and area pages are added, its reach grows without another rebuild. It finally looks like the work — professional, sharp, and built to win enquiries across the North East.
